Parliamentary Dialogue on Finance for Adaptation and Loss and Damage

Organizers: DanChurchAid and ParlFossilFree, with the Climate Emergency Collaboration Group

Venue: TBC

Climate change is threating growth and development around the world. Despite efforts to reduce emissions, we must accept that climate change is a reality, and something we must adapt to. In some situations, we may even be forced to accept that limits to adaptation lead to climate related loss and damage. These are challenges parliamentarians are facing in their efforts to ensure a stable and sustainable development for their countries. However, challenges, and the available funding to take action, varies between countries.

Through this event, we would like to create an informal space for a dialogue between parliamentarians from the global north and the global south. The event will follow Chatham House rules, and we hope the dialogue can build trust, and increase the understanding about possibilities and challenges different countries face.
